ایک اور بھٹو سیاست کے میںدان میں

٢٧ دسمبر بینظیر کی برسی ہے  اور اس سال یہ دن اس لئے بھی خاص تھا کہ اس دن پاکستان کی سیاست میں ایک اور بھٹو نیں سیاست کا اغاز کیا ہے . عوام  خاص طور پر پی پی پی کے جیالوں ، پی پی پی  کے مخالفوں ، اور میڈیا کو اس تقریر اور لانچ کا بے صابری سے انتظار تھا . ہر کوئی دیکھنا چاہتا تھا کہ اخر  پی پی پی کیسے اپنے نیے لیڈر 

کو  میدان میں اتارتی  ہے 

میں انتظار کر رہا تھا کہ پہلے میڈیا پر  بحث  ختم ہو تو میں بھی کچھ اس پر لکھوں.  تقریر میں براہ راست نہ سن سکا کام پر تھا . لیکن واپس اتے ہی مکمل ریکارڈنگ سنی.  میرا خیال یہ تھا تقریر بہت اچھی تھی، اچھی لکھی ہوئی تھی، ادائیگی بہت اچھی تھی، اردو امید سے بہت زیادہ اچھی تھی. بلاول کی شخصیت کا بھی اچھا اثر تھا . پی پی پی  کے جیالوں کے دل میں موجود تمام پہلوں کا ذکر تھا ، اپنی حکومت کی کامیابیوں کا ذکر تھا . ناکامیوں کی وجوہات کا ذکر تھا ان تمام طاقتوروں  کا اشاروں کنایوں میں ذکر تھا جن کیوجہ سے حکومت اس قدر کامیاب نہیں ہوسکی جس کی  لوگوں کو امید تھی . بینظیر انکم سپورٹ پروگرام، ائینی ترامیم ، صوبائی خودمختیاری ، عدلیہ کی غیر ضروری معاملات میں مداخلت، سیلابوں کے بعد آبادکاری ، عالمی کسادبازاری کے باوجود ملکی معیشت کی خود کفالت ، دشت گردی کے خلاف کھلا  مواقف اور جنگ سمیت سب  کامیابیوں کا ذکر تھا 

پر جلسے میں موجود عوام میں وہ جوش یا ولولہ نظر نہیں آیا جو بینظر یا ذولفقار بھٹو کا خاصہ  تھا.  مخالفوں پر  حملے بھی شدید نہ تھے

جہاں تک میڈیا میں اس تقریر پر رد عمل کا ذکر ہے تو وہ تو ہم گنہگاروں کو تقریر سے پہلے ہی پتا تھا کون اس میں سے صرف خامیاں ہی خامیاں ڈھونڈے گا. پر یہ بات اچھی رہی کہ سب نیں بلاول کی تقریر کی صلاحیت کو  ضرور  تعریف سے یاد کیا. کچھ لوگوں نیں تو اس کی مخالفت کرنی ہے  کرنی ہے. کیوں کہ ان کی پی پی پی اور ان کے لیڈروں سے نظریاتی جنگ ہے . چاہے بھٹوز  انہیں اپنے خون کا بھی نذرانہ پیش کریں انھوں نیں پھر بھی اس میں کوئی نہ کوئی کمی کا پہلو ڈھونڈھ لینا ہے  

لیکن ملکی سیاست کےلئے بہت اچھا ہے کہ ایسا لیڈر میدان سیاست  میں آیا ہے  جو اپنے عصر  سے ہم آہنگ ہے جسے یہ پتا ہے دنیا میں آزادی ،جمہوریت، حقوق ے نسواں ، اور معاشرتی انصاف کی کیا اہمیت ہے اور یہ سب کچھ کتنا 

ضروری ہے. وہ دنیا کے ساتھ بات کرسکتا ہے ان کی بات سمجھ سکتا ہے اور انہیں اپنی بات سمجھا سکتا ہے

لیکن اس ملک میں ابھی بھی کچھ طاقتور حلقے ہیں جو یہ ہرگز ہرگز نہیں چاہتے کہ کوئی بھٹو اس ملک کو لیڈ کرے کیوں کہ ان کو چاہیے ہیں ایسے لیڈر جو ان کے اشارہ ابرو کے منتظر رہیں اور اسے دیکھ کر فیصلے کریں . اور ایسا کرنا بھٹوز کی سرشت میں نہیں 

اسی لئے کھیل ابھی جاری ہے 

ایک محفل میں کسی نے پٹھانے خان سے سوال کیا موسیقی حلال ہے یا حرام؟ اس ہمہ وقتی عاشق نیں جواب دیا "او سائیں  کسی پڑھے گوڑھے سے پوچھتے، میں تو سدا  کا ان پڑھ ہوں. بس اتنا جانتا ہوں کہ موسیقی ان کے لئے حلال ہے جو حلالی ہیں"  ڈاکٹر انوار احمد خان کے کالم  سے اقتباس   

بینظیر کہانی

آییں  یاد کریں اس عظیم خاتون لیڈر کو جو اپنے ہم  عصر بونے سیاستدانوں، خاکیوں اور ججوں  کے مقابل جرّت و بہادری کا کوہ ہمالیہ تھیں . وہ جس نیں ساری زندگی جمہوریت کی سیاست کی  اور کبھی بھی تشدد گولی اور کردارکشی کو اپنے سیاسی مقاصد کے لیے استمال نہ کیا 

وہ جس کی کردار کشی کے لئے ریاست ے پاکستان کے  ہر ادارے نیں اپنا اپنا حصہ ادا کیا . وہ کہ جس کی جیت کو چرانے کیلئے خاکیوں نیں "اسلامی جمہوری اتحاد" نامی ٹیسٹ ٹیوب سیاسی پارٹیاں تشکیل دیں.  وہ کہ جس کو ووٹ دینے پر فتوے جاری کیے کہ جو اس کی پآرٹی کو ووٹ ڈالے گا اس کا نکاح ساقط ہو جاے گا.  وہ کہ جس کو سیلوٹ کرتے ہوۓ "غیرتمند" آرمی چیف کو کچھ کچھ ہوتا تھا . وہ کہ جس کی حکومت کو انیس ماہ میں چلتا کر دیا گیا . وہ کہ جس کے خاوند کو ١١ سال جیل میں رکھا گیا بغیر کسی جرم کے ثابت کیے تاکے اس کو  جھکنے پر مجبور کیا جاسکے . لیکن نہ تو وہ جھکی اور نہ ہے اس کا خاوند . پھر زمانے نیں یہ بھی دیکھا کہ تاریخ کی سب سے مکروہ کردار کشی کو مہم چلائی گی اس کے اور اس کے خاوند کے خلاف 

لیکن جب دوبارہ الیکشن ہوۓ عوام نیں پھر اسے حکومت دی .اب کی بار دوبارہ اس کی حکومت کو چلتا کر دیا گیا الزام ووہی پر اس بار میر جعفر اس کی خود کی پارٹی سے تھا . دوبارہ ووہی احتساب ووہی کردار کشی ووہی خاوند جیل، بچے  دربدر ایک پیشی راولپنڈی، اگلے دن لاہور ، پھر کراچی ، اگلے دن پشاور پھر دوبارہ راولپنڈی . مگر وہ پھر بھی نہ ٹوٹی . بدبختوں نیں تو یہاں تک بھی کیا کہ الیکشن کی تاریخ جان بوجھ کر اس وقت رکھی جب اس کا بچہ پیدہ ہونے کے دن قریب تھے . اس کی اپنی حکومت میں اس کے بھائی کو دن  دیہاڑے قتل کرکے الزام اس پر اور اس کے خاوند پر لگا دیا 

٢٠٠٢  میں اس کے جیتے ہوۓ الیکشن ، اس کی پآرٹی میں سے ٢٠ سے زائد ایم  این اے توڑ کر چرا لئے گیے . جب اس سے بات نہ بنی اور وہ اگلا الیکشن جیتتی نظر آی تو ٹھیک سال ٥ سال پہلے آج ہی کہ دن  راولپنڈی کے ایک جلسے میں  دن دیہاڑے  ایک خودکش حملے شہید کر دیا گیا 

پر تریخ کا جبر دیکھے اس ملک کے عوام جنھوں نیں ہر فری اور فیئر  الیکشن میں اسے ووٹ دیا تھا ، اور ہر دفع ان کا ووٹ بدبخت چوری کر لیتے تھے . ان لوگوں نیں اس کے شہید ہونے کے بعد بھی اس کی پآرٹی کو ووٹ دیا اور اقتدار میں لے آیے 

پر ان بدبخت قوتوں کا کھیل  ابھی جاری ہےآج بھی ایک طرف اس کی پآرٹی اور مخالفت میں سب پرانے بیداد اکھٹے ہیں

پروفیسر غفور احمد بھی چل بسے . خدا ان کے ساتھ رحمت کا معاملا کرے. موصوف جماعت اسلامی کہ چند اچھے لوگوں میں شامل تھے

خود  کے ایک لاکھ کے جلسے کو بیس لاکھ کا بتانے والے دوسروں کو "صادق" اور "آمین"  ہونے کا سرٹیفکیٹ کیسے جاری کر سکتے ہیں ؟

کرسمس مبارک

پیارے مسیحی بھائیوں آپ سب کو کرسمس مبارک ہو اور خدا وند آپ کو اور آپ کے گھر  والوں کو اپنی حفظ و امان میں رکھے . خاص طور میں مسلمان ممالک  میں رہنے والےان  مسیحی بھائیوں کو جن کو وہ سب آزادیاں حاصل نہیں جو کہ ان کا بنیادی حق ہیں . کرسمس آج کل مذہبی سے زیادہ ایک سماجی اور معاشرتی تہوار بن چکا ہے جس میں مسیحی اور غیر مسیحی سب مل جل کر حصہ لیتے ہیں ہیں. یہ تہوار ایک موقعہ ہے جب سب خاندان مل بیٹھتا ہے اور خدا وند کو یاد کرتا ہے اور اپس میں ایک دوسرے سے محبت اور شفقت کا اظہار تحائف کی شکل میں کرتا ہے

مغربی دنیا میں رہنے والے مسلمانوں کو بھی اس تہوار کو ایک سماجی اور معاشرتی تہوار کے طور پر مانا چاہیے. مسلمانوں کو چاہیے کہ معاشرے میں ایک مفید حصہ بنیں . تاکے وہ بھی اس معاشرے کا حصہ سمجھے جاییں . مشکلات ضرور ہیں، راستے میں رکاوٹیں بھی  بہت ہیں لیکن اگر عزم پختہ ہو تو کوئی بھی نہیں روک سکتا.  آییں  سب مل کر کرسمس مانیں  تاکے محبت ، رواداری ، اور برداشت باہمی کو فروغ دیا جا سکے

Makhdom Ahmed Mehmood

Zardari has shown his new card to his political opponents. He has
unexpectedly change the Governor of Punjab from Latif Khosa to Makhdom
Ahmed Mehmood. Latif Khosa has been member of PPP for a long while and
has stood fast during its tough days as well. He is a lawyer and was
representing Benazir and Zardari in Pakistani courts. He is one of the
master of PPP defence in the courts. But he has never been a proactive
governor of Punjab. He doesnt has a family or financial backing to
oppose the Sharifs' the political opponents of Zardari. Thats why he
appeared to be a weaker and at times an emerbesment to the Governor
post.

Makhdom Ahmed Mehmood, although been a 'Muslim League' all his life,
has the credentials and fullfill most of the criteria which zardari
has in his mind for a Governor. Some one who could at the same times
be acceptable/pallatable to the Shariefs' as well has a financial and
family backing to be able to stand infront of their pressures. MAM is
one of the biggtest , if not the biggest LandLord In punajb, owning
1000s of acre of well developed and productive agricultural land plus
also have a big inductrial empire. His family background has also been
sound his Father was the PM/CM of the state of Bahawalpur. He also has
famaily relationship to every 'whos who' family of Punjab. he is
counsin to Pir Pagaro, and Yousaf Raza Gilani, brother in Law to the
Jahangir Tareen and future father in law to the son of Shah Mehmood
Qureshi.

so that makes him a very interesting man to be in Governor post. The
thing which goes against him is that he doesnt have a charasmatic
personality as Salman Taseer, He is not very articulate. I also feels
that he goesnt have a guts to stands on his own point of view in hard
times. But inspite of that He is bringing some new attributes and
creating some waves in the political of Punjab which is the decissive
place for the politics of Pakistan.

Jalsa of Dr Tahir Al-Qadri

Today was a big Jalsa in Minto Park Lahore where Dr Tahir Al-Qadri spoke the crowd. It was an impressive show as per number of people concerned. I would says  they were around 100,000 or so people in the Minto Park grounds. 

The good thing about the Jalsa was that its was organised by a group called Minhaj Al-Quran which is  Braylvi in ideology organisation. so it was refreshing to see the Braylvies coming into main stream politics. Braylvies was once the largest religious group in Pakistan but now its a dying creed and is mainly replaced by the a more orthodox, organised and regressive ideology ie Deoband of Pakistan. so it was refreshing to see the braylvies back into political spectrum. They are mostly non violent adherent of sufi islam. Previously this was not an organised religion but with Minhaj Al-Quran and Sunni Tehrik its also becoming an organised religion with element of violence in it. One example of that being Mumtaz Qadri , the killer of Salman Taseer Governor of Punjab. Other good thing about this Jalsa was that the crowd was representing Pakistanis from most social classes. There were Drs, Engineers, teachers and civil servants and shop keepers and so on so forth. There was also women in the Jalsa which is also a progressive step. Some thing which u rarely see the Jalsas of DeP/JUIF.

Now if we discuss whats was wrong in the Jalsa to be honest there were many things wrong with this Jalsa. Inspite of putting a very impressive show  Dr Tahir Al-Qadri completely failed to make any sense and the impact of Jalsa was very short lived and only with in few hours it started getting fissile out. To start with; its catch up line was wrong. In simple words it was rubbish. 'siyasat nahein Riyasat bachaoo' they got it wrong and then they have to turn back and explain every one that in  this ' siyasat' doest mean 'real siyasat' it means 'currunt siyasat'. Even in Jalsa Dr Tahir Al-Qadri spend so much time explaining all this rubbish was utterly wrong and was not needed in first place. 

Their main thrust in the idea that 'politicians are corrupt' is nothing new for the people of Pakistan. every new dictator in Pakistan came in power in this pretext that politicans are corrupt and he is here to clean them out. Then they rule for 10s of years and end up in more disaster. Then they leave with an election and same corrupt PPP comes in power. This experience has been tried thrice in Pakistan and produced same disastrous results.

Dr Tahir Al-Qadri failed to adress the main issue of todays Pakistan ie terrorism and its  solution. He said few things in not so clear terms which can be interpreted in either way. I was really surprised that he didn't mentioned a word Taliban even once. probably he didn't had a courage to stand in front of the Taliban , probably because his audience was different this time thats why he was speaking different than his usual overseas speeches.  He didn't mentioned anything about minorities and their victimisation in Pakistan

Dr Tahir Al-Qadri also played a wrong card that stakeholders [new name of the old establishment] need to fix the electoral system in line with a dictatorial claus in the constitution [ie article 62/63] only then a 'true democracy' can flourish in this country. This is also as rubbish as is his catch up line 'siyasat nahein Riyasat bachaoo'. I dont think and dont buy this idea that declearing majority of Pakistani population being unfit to contest the elections ,based on article 62/63, will bring a 'true democracy' in Pakistan.  

So in short i think it was an useless exercise which will only harm democracy and by virtue of this will be only counterproductive to the state of pakistan. So it will only destroy both Siyasat and Riyasat. 

RIP Bashir Bilour

A sad news today that Bashir Ahmed Bilour, Senior Minister of KPK Govt has died in a suicide bomb attack on him. KPK govt mourning for 3 days while Central Govt has announce a day of mourning for 1 day. TTP has claimed responsibility. 

Bashir Bilour was courangious man who stood fast against the terrorist during this crucial times in the history of Pakistan.There has been 2-3 previous assassination attempts on his life. He never hide himself , he never shy away from condemning the barbarics , the extremist in KPK. He was the first or the second member of the ANP who used to see after every bomb attack condoling people and raising their spirit ko keep their lives going on.  His famous lines now being televised on most TV channel that 'the night which is the grave cannot come in house and the night is destinies to come in house cannot come in grave'

there are many leaders in Pakistan who claims to be brave and courageous and call themselves 'tigers' but there are very few who had the guts to come and condemn these barbarics without any pretexts. 

RIP Mr Bilour, you will be missed and your courage will be a beacon of light for others to follow.

شہریوں کے گلے کاٹنے آگیے

تم نیں مقتل سجاے ہیں کیوں غازیو؟

 اتنی غارت گری کس کے ایمان پر ہے ؟

کس کے آگے ہو تم سر نگوں غازیو ؟

کس شہنشاہ عالی کا فرمان ہے ؟

کس کی خاطر ہے یہ کشت و خون غازیو ؟

کیا خبر تھی کہ ے شپرک زدگان  

تم ملامت بنو گے شب تار کی 

کل بھی غاصب کے تم تخت پردار تھے 

آج بھی پاسداری ہے دربار کی 

ایک آمر کی دستار کے واسطے 

سب کی شہ رگ پہ ہے نوک تلوار کی 

تم نیں دیکھے ہیں جمہور کے قافلے 

ان کے ہاتھوں میں پرچم بغاوت کے ہیں 

پیڑیوں پر جمی پیڑیاں خون کی 

کہ رہی ہیں یہ منظر قیامت کے ہیں

اب جو شعلے اٹھے ہیں وہ نفرت کہ ہیں

آج شاعر پہ یہ قرض مٹی کا ہے 

اب قلم میں لہو ہے سیاہی نہیں

Its been 3 Years!

Its been 3 years since you have left us on our own and gone for a heavenly place. It was the most traumatic experience one can have. we had never ever thought that one day we will be without you and be on our own in this harsh and unfriendly world. When I saw your reports first, although being a Dr i knew its inevitable, but as a son I was thinking that together we will pull thorugh it. When the oncologist told me "its a treatable one" we were over the moon. But i knew that you are giving up. Then that most painful night when I came back dashing because 'Bishu' called us in middle of night that you are 'really unwell' . when i entered the room you were taking your last breath. all my years of medical school and then post graduation training in UK could do nothing to stop you going away. 

Then that inevitable happened which i feared most when leaving highlands in middle of xmas holidays in freezing temp of -15c. That years was really, exceptionally cold. Then I didn't know whats happening around us for next week or so. Seeing you last time , knowing that we will never see you again was indescribable. Everyone was condoling us but we didn't know whats going on but still we were putting a brave face. 

Time never stops and it kept moving on and on. There has been many many instances when driving on my own on long motorway I thought about you, on busy traffic jams , when taking a train, or dropping and picking up kids up school i thought about you. There were times i desperately  needed the 'cuddle' I thought about you. there was many times when i needed 'someone special' to give me a pat on the back and says 'don't worry you will be fine'. Just an extra reassurance in a time of 'confusion'. Just a little bit of  motherly guidance. I thought about you when i felt that there is no one to fall back on. I thought about you when I saw grannies with their grandsons, or son/daughters taking their mums out for a shopping or a dinner. I thought about you every time i went back to our Home. Its not the same its use to be. I thought about you when ever i saw/read/learn about someone else's mum. 

I needed your 'presence' during my successes and I needed your presence and company more during my shortcoming and failures. Because i had known all my life that you are the only person who will stand by me when all the world will be standing against me. Just a thought of that person not being there is painful. 

I am sure you are in a better place and i am sure they will keeping good care of you in heaven. I don't have any doubt that you will still be praying for us where ever you are. But i want to tell you, although life is moving on , although we are living our lives well, although are gaining success in our lives, although your grandchildren are growing up into big boys & big girls, but life with out you is not the same.  Its not as it use to be and we miss you in evey moment of it.

Love you mum.
